The E.H.E. EurAka
e-Learning Master of Philsophy
The Master of Philosophy, MPhil, is internationally recognised as the highest level Master's degree. That is because the MPhil already belongs to the category of research derees. At many universities worldwide, the MPhil is an integral part of doctoral studies. That means, before the actual doctoral studies comes the Master of Philosophy firstly.
However, the MPhil is not for doctoral studies only. It is an ideal study programme for anyone, who is 'only' interested in a Master's degree. Its high quality is a very convincing argument of personal qualification and the goals of this Master's programme can have high impact in professional practice, depending on the individual choice of topic, and for careers, too.
The MPhil is not a conventional Master's programme, because it consists only of a comprehensive thesis and has no taught modules. The purpose of this structure is to systematically introduce students to the world of methodological research. Of course, a student is never completely on his own. It is the contrary. An individually assigned supervisor is available offering comprehensive advice and accompanies students throughout the entire time of studies; i.e. advantageous 1:1 learning.
Therefore, the MPhil is an ideal distance learning course for those who are looking for a high-quality Master's degree and/or those, who want to prepare thoroughly for their doctoral studies. The MPhil can therefore facilitate the access to doctoral studies and shorten these or be a high-level Master's degree.
It is also advantageous that the whole programme concentrates exclusively on the field of study chosen by the student. It is you, who determines the subject area and the topic of the thesis based on the required general criteria of a Master's degree. Thematically this can include many fields:
- Business and Management
- Engineering andTechnology
- And other fields of knowledge
Beyond these many advantages, the MPhil programme is either optional or, for certain candidates, a prerequisite for the doctoral program of the E.H.E. EurAka. One that not only greatly facilitates the subsequent research of the doctoral candidate but also improves and accelerates it. The conclusion of the MPhil is always a particularly valuable personal gain.
