Within the system of Swiss Universities, the EurAka University owns a rather unique positioning. It is not part of the Swiss body of the Schweizerische Hochschulkonferenz, the EurAka University is officially approved by Swiss federal law.
'[The] teaching institution of academic level bears the name "E.H.E. Europa Hochschule EurAka CH, private Hochschule für integrale Medizin, Technik und Ökonomie" [E.H.E. European University EurAka Switzerland]. For this, Articles 62 to 72 of the Civil Code shall apply. As a private university, it has professorial chairs, the right to award diplomas, academic degrees and doctorates. It was again confirmed by the Ticino Department for Culture by State Decision No. 705 as an E.H.E. Hochschule (E.H.E. University), operated with state recognition, completely falling under the autonomy of the E.H.E. and based on the Swiss Federal Constitution, Sections 20, 23, 27.'
Therefore, the conclusion is thatthe E.H.E. European University EurAka is fully aligned with the laws of Switzerland and thus officially approved as Swiss University. This official Swiss registration means that the E.H.E. European University EurAka Switzerland does not only have official Degree Awarding Powersfor Bachelor and Master’s level. The EurAka University also owns Research Degree Awarding Powers for the award of officially recognised PhD and, e.g., DBA Degrees. These powers equally cover the postdoctoral level of the Doctor of Science, also known as PhD habilitata.
Switzerland is part of the Bologna Process within the European Union. Consequentially, all Degrees of the EurAka University bear European ECTS credits. The Transcript awarded to students is issued in form of the European Union’s Diploma Supplement of the ‘Europass’.
